the ARTIST
Deaf | Art Therapist | Explorer
Hey there! I'm Kali Doubledee. As the only Deaf person in my hearing family, I instinctively turned to art as one of my languages to be understood, heard, and seen. My lifelong dedication to the arts brought me to play with various art media, visual storytelling, and ideas.

Alongside my work as an artist, I’m currently a Provisional Art Therapist and pre-licensed Mental Health Therapist based in Washington, working with children and families as they navigate mental health and life challenges. I also collaborate with communities to create spaces that invite creative expression and reflection.

I care deeply about making art more accessible in everyday life. Creativity can help us slow down, make sense of our experiences, and connect with ourselves and others. Art gave me a voice and became a bridge for connection, and I believe you should have access to that, too!
