GRAPHIC MEDICINE

Graphic Medicine reflects the integration of comic and mental health topics. The graphic medicine community endorses the utilization of comics for psychoeducational purposes, seeing as their properties, whether it is a single-image, sequential images, or collections of comic strips, offer opportunities to spread awareness, provide resources, and dismantle the stigmas.

Interpreters in Art Therapy

For my Art Therapy Capstone 2024 project, I delved into the uncharted phenomenon of working with interpreters in the art therapy setting, particularly from the perspective of a Deaf art therapist. Graphic Medicine was used to identify this complex dynamic and to engage a wider audience in the interactive comics in the hope of prompting an ongoing dialogue about this topic.
